Dogs: love them or hate them, we want to hear your views

A national dog charity is hoping to hear what parents in Hull have to say about dogs and families.

We’re hosting a focus group on 17th November 2017, at 1pm here at Hull CVS

If you are between 18-45, with young children living at home we’d like to hear from you. This opportunity is only for people who are not in full time work. You don’t need to be a dog owner.

Would you be prepared to come and share your views? All contributions will be totally anonymous.

As a thank you for your support the organisers will provide £40 high street vouchers for everyone who attends the session (maximum 10 people). No advance preparation is needed. Refreshments provided.

We would like to invite you to our community event where we want to meet local partners and explore how we can work with you to support vulnerable people within our communities

We will be launching our annual community fund which has an allocation of £50,000 for grants to voluntary and community projects based in the Northern Powergrid operating areas.  Grants are available from £1,000 to £10,000.

The aim of the fund is to:

  • Educating and informing communities about safety in relation to energy and street works
  • Encouraging interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects and related career opportunities
  • Promoting use of the Priority Services Register and additional support, a free service provided by suppliers and network operators to customers in need within communities

Applications will be open from December 2017 and end January 2018.  Grants will be awarded in March 2018.

Co-op Community Wellbeing Workshop

The Co-op wants to find out about wellbeing in your community in Hull. We’re finding out what you think because what you tell us will help us work together to improve your community. The Co-op gives away at least £20million to local causes each year and what you tell us will help us decide how best to work with communities.

Our partners The Young Foundation will host an interactive workshop to hear your thoughts and everyone is welcome.

As a thank you for your time you’ll receive a £20 Co-op Food voucher. Refreshments will be provided.

We hope to see you there!
