Hull CVS changes to services in response to Covid-19
Firstly we would like to extend our best wishes and thanks to all the people and organisations who are working tirelessly to support people through these unprecedented times.
Hull CVS is committed to continuing to support our local communities and the wider voluntary and community sector through this unchartered territory. We have taken steps to ensure the maintenance of all of our services, whilst also ensuring that the safety of our staff, volunteers, service users, partners and communities remains pivotal at all times.
In response to advice issued by the Government in relation to Coronavirus/Covid 19, Hull CVS has now closed the Reception Facilities at The Strand and Centre 88 to members of the public, until further notice. Instead we encourage our clients and service users to email their normal contact within the organisation or for more general enquiries contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Volunteer Centre will be closed to drop-ins and face to face appointments. However we are still delivering a full service and are working in close partnership with Hull City Council and other infrastructure partners to meet the rising demand for voluntary services and increasing interest from individuals to offer volunteer help.
Provisional enquiries for our room hire and serviced office facilities at The Strand or Centre 88, can still be made. If you would like to know more please contact Martin Craven on email@example.com.
We have postponed all face to face engagement, meetings and events, including our direct training, volunteer drop-ins, advice surgeries, and Healthwatch engagement. We are increasingly moving towards online and digital alternatives and encourage you to monitor our website and social media for further information.
For individuals in receipt of a direct payment, both Hull CVS and Choices & Rights are continuing to provide payroll and wider support services. We will not be able to respond to face to face drop ins, however our email contacts remain the same and our team will still be on hand to take your calls. We will be contacting all our clients directly with more information to answer your key questions.
All of our other support to charities and groups, including payroll, community accountancy, grants administration, and wider sector support will continue, but with communication limited to email and telephone methods.
Hull CVS are working closely with local authorities and wider public sector partners to support local coordinated approaches. We are also operating under their advisory and also that of Public Health England and the Government.
