In celebration of this year’s Volunteers Week, Hull CVS will be hosting and taking part in a range of volunteering activity for not just the week, but the whole month!

Have you always fancied the idea of volunteering but are not quite sure what the role would entail? Then why not pop in to one of our events taking place across the city. We will be promoting a range of volunteering opportunities available, as well as providing the opportunity for you to talk directly with local charities.

Monday 4th June – Health Charities
4pm – 7pm, Sight Support, 466 Beverley Road, Hull, HU5 1NF.

Come along and find out about some of the opportunities available working with the valuable organisations that support people with a range of health needs. There will be the opportunity to try out some of the equipment that Sight Support use to help people who are visually impaired, as well as find out about volunteering opportunities with the British Heart Foundation, Humber Care, Diabetes Support Group and more.

Monday 11th June – Wellbeing Charities
10am – 2pm, North Point Shopping Centre, Bransholme

During your shopping why not come and find out about the various volunteering opportunities in the city. We will be joined by the children’s literacy charity Beanstalk; Humbercare; MESMAC sexual health services, and North Bransholme Community Centre.

Wednesday 13th June – Health & Wellbeing Charities
10am – 2pm, North Point Shopping Centre, Bransholme

Today we will be joined by Macmillian; Burton Constable Hall; Live at Home; the British Heart Foundation; and CLIC Sargent, the cancer support charity for children and Young People.

Thursday 14th June – Local Charities
10am – 2pm, North Point Shopping Centre, Bransholme

Today we will be joined by North Bransholme Community Centre; Hope to Sleep; Hull Street Angels Trinity; and Burton Constable Hall.
