Gomde UK is a centre for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism and for the development of environmental Buddhism. You don’t need to be a practicing Buddhist to join our team, but you must be committed to making the community a success based on our Buddhist principles and values.
We are seeking an inspiring individual to manage and expand our existing pool of volunteers, to establish and develop local networks and to provide core HR support. You’ll be responsible for supporting staff in assessing and managing the contributions of volunteers. You’ll have opportunity to create, implement, and manage HR & Operational Systems & Procedures (TOIL, holidays, shared calendars, etc). You’ll contribute to new initiatives and projects in key operational areas.
This role has been designed to meet the needs of our developing centre. We are a small staff team, working within a unique and inspiring setting. It is an opportunity for someone with combined expertise – across people skills, administrative and organisational skills, to gain valuable experience and insight across a range of areas.
Please note: the live in statutory offset for board and accommodation of £7.00 per day will be deducted from this salary.
Location: Lindholme Hall, South Yorkshire
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Temporary Contract for 12 months (with possible extension)
