NYAS is a leading children’s charity providing advocacy services for children and young people from 0-25, across England and Wales for over 30 years.
Our work helps make a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people when they are in desperate need of help.
We are seeking to recruit high calibre advocates to support children, young people and adults to ensure their voices are heard within decision-making processes.
Applicants must hold relevant qualifications and have experience of direct work with children, young people or adults.
This position is open to all applicants but NYAS would particularly encourage applications from male, black or other ethnic minority candidates in accordance with section 159 of the Equality Act 2010.
NYAS operates robust safe procedures to ensure the protection of the children, young people and and adults at risk we work with. To comply with NYAS’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
NB: As part of the recruitment process to become a Self-Employed Advocate with NYAS, all candidates who have been successfully interviewed and completed our safer recruitment process will be required to attend and complete accredited Advocacy training. This is a recognised qualification across this sector.
NYAS provides this training at a significantly reduced rate of £350 + VAT. Further details will be discussed at interview.
