A local NHS Trust is hoping to raise funds for patients and carers by hosting their first ever Springtime Ball.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust and its Charity Health Stars are inviting local businesses, community groups, families and friends to join them on 11 May for the ‘Secret Garden’ themed bash.

The black tie event will take place at the Mercure Hotel in Willerby and will feature lavish decorations with guests treated to a three course meal.

With a live band, auctions and raffles throughout the evening, the event is aiming to raise thousands of pounds to support local NHS services across the Humber region.

Mandy Dawley, Head of Patient and Carer Experience at the Trust said:

We are really excited to host our first ever ball. A lot of effort is going into making sure it will be a night to remember. We are getting some fabulous raffle and auction prizes including, rounds of golf, hotel stays, afternoon tea experiences, light aircraft flights, gym memberships and much more

Health Stars works to ‘add sparkle’ to the community and mental health services provided by the Trust to more than 800,000 people in Hull, East Riding and North Yorkshire.

The charity promotes the development of exceptional healthcare which goes above and beyond NHS core services by investing into patient environments, resources and research.

From baby toys for health visitor clinics, memory boxes for bereaved families and adapted iPads for stroke patients, the charity have delivered over 300 wishes to the local NHS community.

This is the first Secret Garden Springtime Ball and we are delighted to be working so closely with the Patient and Carer Experience Team. It promises to be a wonderful evening, full of fabulous food, live music and fun.

Tables of 10 available and we would love our friends and partners from the local business community to join us in supporting our amazing NHS and make this inaugural event a great success. We want to introduce Health Stars to a wider audience and show what a big difference our local charity is making every day across our NHS and throughout the wider community we serve

Tickets are £30 and on sale now with all proceeds raised going to the Health Stars charity.
