The Switch Project at the Volunteer Centre Hull aims to place Volunteers with those in housing need.
Switch provides ongoing supervision, training and support to Volunteers. Volunteers are matched with anyone in housing need who would benefit from the input of a Mentor. Through conversation, setting goals and support Mentors can help people move forward with their lives. Mentors can help with things like accessing and maintaining housing and work, assessing health care, setting up a new home or just providing a listening ear.
If you have an interest in homelessness, or have relevant skills or experience you wish to share you may make a great Mentor.
If you are looking at leaving a hostel or supported accommodation, your accommodation is at risk or you are in a new tenancy then you may benefit from a Switch Mentor.
