Volunteer for Switch

SWITCH_A4_RGBWould you like an opportunity to widen your skills, knowledge and experience working with marginalised or vulnerable groups or simply give back to your community?

Volunteer Mentors have an opportunity to support the work of local hostels and supported accommodation projects. Working with one or a few service users in transitionary housing, Volunteer Mentors support individuals to reach their goals and aspirations. Completing support plans, setting goals and reviewing progress Volunteer Mentors can help service users access secure housing, work and health care as well as increase confidence, motivation and wellbeing. Volunteers with a particular skill they wish to share also have the opportunity to work with groups of service users increasing life-skills and offering an opportunity to socialise.

Volunteer Mentors can benefit from a full induction and training, regular supervision and support from the Switch Project Team as well as all out of pocket expenses reimbursed.

If you wish to pursue this opportunity please contact the Switch Project Team on 01482 595501 or switch@hull-cvs.co.uk . Alternatively, please fill in the application form below.
