Training

We continue to provide a comprehensive training and development short course programme throughout the year.
Training for Volunteers

We run training for people who are thinking about volunteering and who want to understand more about what it means to become a volunteer through our Skills for Volunteers course which is a partnership between the Volunteer Centre and the WEA.  This short course  will equip volunteers with the required skills and knowledge to help them to make a positive difference to people in need; to worthwhile causes; and the local community.

Topics covered include personal skills and strengths, handling difficult situations, confidentiality and safeguarding and will provide support and information to gain increased knowledge, skills and confidence to volunteer.
