Hull CVS will be celebrating Volunteer’s Week 2019 by hosting volunteer fayres in Hull city Centre.
Hull CVS have been supporting local community and voluntary sector organisations for over 30 years, during which time thousands of projects have received help and guidance to deliver some fantastic services across our city. For Volunteers Week 2019 we are hosting three volunteer fayres with some of the organisations and groups we currently support to promote the amazing work their volunteers do and hopefully inspire others to want to volunteer too and continue the well-established legacy of volunteering in our city.
If you have ever been curious about volunteering now is the time to find out more. Whether you are looking to improve your CV, want an opportunity to help you find a new career, give something back or find new friends and feel great, it is the ideal chance to speak directly to organisations and groups who can help you to discover the opportunity for you.
We will be at the following venues:
- St Stephens Shopping Centre – Wednesday, 5 June from 10am until 3pm.
- Trinity Market – Thursday, 6 June from 4pm until 9pm – Same night as Street Food Night.
- Trinity Market – Friday, 7 June from 10am until 3pm.
Volunteers Week is a national initiative and charities across the UK will also be holding events to thank their volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteering. Last year there were over 600 events across the country, from award ceremonies to tea parties and barbecues.
For many charities the week will be a chance to showcase the range of volunteering opportunities on offer. Volunteer fairs and other events will be encouraged people to try volunteering for the first time and help people find out how, through volunteering, they can make a difference to a cause they are passionate about.
