Please remember to let us know as soon as possible if any of your details change, i.e., any changes to your contact details.

To register a volunteer opportunity with us please complete a request for volunteers – new opportunity form.

Once you have completed the form you should send it to us by email: mwright@hull-cvs.co.uk or by post to Volunteer Centre Hull, Hull CVS, The Strand, 75 Beverley Road, Hull.  HU3 1XL

Please remember to let us know as soon as possible if anything changes, for example – changes to the contact details for the volunteer opportunity. And remember to keep in touch with us during your volunteer recruitment journey.

Your organisation should have the following policies and procedures in place prior to recruiting:

  • Equal Opportunities
  • Health and Safety
  • Volunteer
  • Public / Employers Liability insurance that covers volunteers
  • Safeguarding

If you are unsure whether you have all the required policies please contact us, we can help you check that you have everything in place, and can help you develop and update your policies and procedures.

We can help you check that you have all the required policies and procedures in place through our free organisation Healthcheck.

Once you have registered your organisations details with us we will contact you and offer a free Healthcheck. The Healthcheck is for guidance only and it will help you think about how your organisation is run and ensure that you have all the required policies and procedures in place to support volunteers. Ideally it should be carried out by the Trustees or Management Committee of your organisation, as they are the ones who have a responsibility to ensure that the organisation is running effectively and it achieves its purpose.

Initially, a Healthcheck will take around an hour to complete and will create an action plan for your organisation identifying which areas are working well and what areas may need further support. By the end of the process you will have created an organisation file with your policies and procedure in one place.

Once you have completed the form you should send it to us by email: mwright@hull-cvs.co.uk or by post to Volunteer Centre Hull, Hull CVS, The Strand, 75 Beverley Road, Hull. HU3 1XL
