The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner has launched a new Community Safety Fund. It will offer grants to go towards the costs of community safety projects, crime reduction projects and providing support for victims of crime. The idea is to kick-start projects that will cut crime and anti-social behavior, and also improve feelings of safety for residents.

Non-profit organisations, charities, community groups, social enterprises and Town & Parish Councils can apply for a grant of anywhere between £500 and £35,000. Some examples of projects are;

  • Measures to improve the safety of assets, community buildings and outdoor public spaces
  • Activities and support for groups of people who are at risk of, or have been, victims of crime
  • Activities and support for groups of people who might be drawn into criminal behavior
  • Activities and community events focusing on crime and safety issues

The first round of funding closes on 30th June 2022. For guidance notes or to apply, please go to: humberside-pcc.gov.uk/Community/Community-Safety-Fund.aspx
