Money Matters Training
6, December - 10:00 : 16:00
Hull CVS are teaming up with Hull City Council and Citizens Advice Hull and East Riding to offer VCSE organisations with Money Matters training.
This training will provide frontline staff or volunteers with the knowledge and confidence to supply targeted brief interventions to members of the public and their workforce in relation to budgeting and energy efficiency. They will be able to signpost people to additional financial support available and guide suitable individuals to apply for Hull’s Household Support Fund Grant (initially targeted at single people who are responsible for a household).
The face to face events will include a buffet lunch and refreshments.
On competition each trainee will be asked to complete a brief virtual feedback form outlining how many times they feel they have used the brief intervention input in relation to budgeting and/or energy efficiency; and the number of people they have supported in applying for the £90 Household Support Fund Grant (a target of 50 beneficiaries each) and any community feedback of note about the challenges linked to cost of living.
To recognise and facilitate their support trainees organisations will receive a thank you £200 donation for their assistance with this activity and attending the training.
This has been funded through the Household Support Fund by the Department Work and Pensions.
Anyone wanting a place for their organisation should complete the form below:
