Forum CIO, Hull CVS and the HEY Smile Foundation are working in partnership with Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to highlight a proposed devolution deal for the area and to encourage everyone to have their say.
The councils are committed to making sure that everyone has the chance to find out more and share their thoughts, so please share this link widely and encourage people to take part. The voice of local residents and our diverse communities are a significant part of the public consultation process.
In order to support the engagement around the Hull and East Yorkshire Devolution consultation, we will be holding a Devolution Information Event led by Councillor Mike Ross (Leader Hull City Council).
Devolution is the transfer of powers and funding from national to local government.
The proposed devolution deal for Hull and East Yorkshire includes over £400million of additional funding to invest in local priorities.
Delivery of devolution from Government to Hull and East Yorkshire will see:
- New powers to drive the regeneration of the area and to build more affordable homes, including compulsory purchase powers and the ability to establish mayoral development corporations.
- Support for accessible jobs to be created addressing the long-term challenges for people living in the area particularly in our more deprived communities.

The Devolution Information Event will take place on:
Date: Friday 2 February 2024
Time: 10 – 11.30 am
Venue: Reception Room, The Guildhall, Hull City Council.
