Health Captains Programme Lead (base anywhere in Humber region)

This is a brand new opportunity for an experienced project manager to lead on a new and exciting programme aimed at utilising volunteers in health and care services. Hull CVS has recently been awarded funding from NHS Charities Together to develop the ‘Health Captains’ Volunteer Service which aims to reduce health inequalities and reduce pressures on NHS services.

The aim of the Health Captains programme is to identify existing volunteering programmes across the Humber area which support individuals either in accessing health care services or in managing their recovery and condition; to identify further opportunities whereby volunteers could support individuals in this way; and working with healthcare and voluntary sector partners to develop and implement new such initiatives.

Health Captains Volunteer Coordinator (base anywhere in Humber region)

We are looking for an individual to join us as Volunteer Coordinator to engage and inspire existing and new volunteers to provide vital support to individuals on their healthcare journey. The post-holder will oversee the recruitment, supervision and management of volunteers and ensure they are able to contribute fully to the work of the programme. The post holder will have a cohort of direct volunteers, in addition to working with other organisations to support volunteers in to their programmes.

Healthwatch East Riding East Riding Engagement & Communications Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to co-ordinate and deliver a community engagement plan that involves promoting Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire and organising and attending community outreach activity at events throughout the area.  You will work with Healthwatch volunteers and the wider team to go out and about listening to views and experiences, and gather vital intelligence about local services. You will also use your skills to raise and maintain the profile of Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire across key stakeholders and the local community, ensuring key messages and information are effectively communicated.
