Are you passionate about ensuring people receive the best health and social care? Are you able to design and manage projects, whilst also having the ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver high quality services? Are you looking for an opportunity that offers flexibility and brings exposure at a senior level across a number of geographical areas in a newly created role?

We are one of the largest providers of Healthwatch in the country, having responsibility for delivery of Healthwatch in Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. We now have a rarely seen opportunity for someone to join us in the role of Healthwatch Regional Manager.

About Us

Hull CVS Group is a multi-disciplinary organisation and encompasses the individual charitable and community organisations Hull CVS, Meeting New Horizons CIC and Rainbow Nursery Ltd.

Hull CVS, as the parent organisation, is a registered charity that supports the development and sustainability of local charities and causes, as well as delivering a range of projects to support local residents and communities. Our subsidiary arm, Meeting New Horizons also delivers a range of community projects but within the wider Yorkshire and Humber region.

Healthwatch was established as a statutory service independent from the NHS and social care services, but with the purpose of being the consumer champion for local health and social care provision. Healthwatch has a wide remit and has a number of legal powers to help ensure that patient and public voice is at the heart of how health and care services are designed and delivered. Each Local Authority area in England has its own Healthwatch service, and our Group holds the contracts for all Healthwatch in the Humber region.

The Role

Performing a key senior role within the organisation and reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Officer, you will provide support, guidance and mentoring to the four Healthwatch teams, to ensure high quality delivery within each service. You will also have responsibility for supporting the development and expansion of the services through the development of business cases and bids, as well as having line management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the health and care arena.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience of working with and influencing staff and managers at all levels.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Experience of managing and leading teams to deliver defined objectives.
  • Enhanced project management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, and convert in to deliverable workplans.

This is a brand new role that offers lots of potential. The role is on a part time basis with hours flexible by arrangement and with the potential for increasing to full time for the right candidate. It may also be based at any of our locations across the Humber region or on a home working basis.
