Hull CVS is able to provide low cost office accommodation at two central locations, both of which are within easy reach of Hull City centre’s amenities and transport interchange.

We have various options to meet your office accommodation needs. Our spaces are available on flexible terms that utilise standard tenancy agreements, thus eliminating the need for incurring costly legal expenses.

Each of our spaces are provided inclusive of the following:

  • A staffed reception at The Strand during standard opening hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays and the Christmas shut down period). At Centre 88 the hours are between 9.00am and 12.00pm.
  • Cleaning of common and hired areas.
  • Repairs and maintenance to the fabric of the building, and internal and external common and hired areas.
  • Communal kitchen facilities.
  • Provision of single phase electricity to the premises and cost of electricity consumption.
  • Provision of water to the premised and cost of water usage including sewage charges.
  • Provision of heating and cost of gas consumption.
  • External window cleaning.
  • Intruder alarm system.
  • Buildings Insurance.
  • Business Rates.

If required, the following facilities and services can also be provided:

  • Provision of standard office furniture (i.e. desks, chairs, filing cabinets, shelving).
  • Telephone and internet installation with provision of direct line telephone number (The Strand only).
  • IT Support.
  • Access to a variety of on-site, chargeable office services such as photocopying, printing, postage, fax, stationary, etc.

Not included in cost:

  • Telephone call charges

In the 5 1/2 years that we have been tenants at Centre 88, it has proved a convenient location for the provision of our services. Its proximity to the City Centre has been of great benefit to some of our disadvantaged clients who walk to the Centre from the city centre without incurring expenses. The user friendly access makes it easy for our clients who are elderly; are wheel chair users; or have prams, to easily get to our offices once at the building. The cleanliness of the buildings common areas is also commendable, not to talk of the supportive staff who listen and also arrange for regular meetings with the buildings tenants.

Having other charities in the building makes it easy to signpost or share services for the benefit of some of our clients.

The Refugee Council Resettlement team has been a tenant based in Centre 88 for ten years, which in its self is a testament as to how happy we are. Centre 88 is a very pleasant place to work and totally suits the nature of our work, which involves a lot of outreach work.

The ability to network and interact with other voluntary sector services based in the building is a complete bonus as we all work with vulnerable groups and are able to share resources and best practice very easily.

Centre 88 is a really valuable community resource in the heart of the city where service users and voluntary organisations can work together to improve outcomes for the local residents. We find it so beneficial to be in a building with so many different organisations where partnership working becomes easier and we can be inspired by each other. It’s great to be so accessible and have ample parking so close to the city centre. I recommend Centre 88 to everyone needing offices to rent or use of an affordable conference room.
