Hull CVS would like to invite you to the relaunch of Hull’s Talking Table Scheme at The Deep at 9.30am on Monday 15^th January 2024.

Attendees will get chance to find out more about the scheme that brings people together, by making it easier to meet, talk and connect. It is based on the simple concept of community cafes across Hull hosting one or more designated Talking Table which gives people the green light sit down and know they will immediately be with other people who want to speak to them and will remove the stigma some people can feel about going out alone.

During the breakfast style briefing you will enjoy a complimentary bite to eat and refreshments while we explain:

• How the scheme works
• Which venues have already signed up
• Support available to venues and how to sign up as a Talking Table site

In addition it will be a great opportunity to network and find out about wider work taking place in Hull to address loneliness and connect residents.

The scheme originally run by Hull City Council was launched on Monday 10 September 2018 with over 20 venues signed up. However since the pandemic the scheme has been on hold.

The Talking Table scheme is being supported in its relaunch via funding from the UK Government through the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund that aims to increase volunteering and tackling loneliness.
