Last year, Hull CVS launched our Media and Marketing survey which assisted us in understanding users’ perceptions when viewing our website, social media and newsletter.
Over the past few months, we have been evaluating these results to shape how our communications should look and feel moving forwards. Today, we’re launching the first stage of this process; our new website.
The primary focus has been to ensure our new website has:
- easy navigational features;
- a clear and effective design;
- more embedded functions.
We hope that visitors to our site will find that we have accomplished just that, with our new website providing easy access to the many services Hull CVS offers; as well as embedded methods for users to send enquiries to specific teams; and the ability to register direct for training and advertise sector vacancies.
Helen Grimwood, Chief Executive Officer said:
“Having a website that best represents your organisation is one of the most important communication tools you can have. I am proud that from today, the new Hull CVS website truly captures and showcases the quality and variety of the services we offer – from supporting the development and sustainability of the voluntary and community sector, to empowering local people to live more independently.
I would like to thank all those that completed our Media and Marketing survey last year; the results of which highlighted a clear need for our website to be simple to navigate and to have a responsive design. Additionally, I want to thank our teams across Hull CVS and Meeting New Horizons, whose thoughts and ideas helped shape what our website could and should be.
I particularly would like to thank Gareth Fletcher, Development and Communications Lead for Hull CVS, who with his creative flair has built our new website from the ground up.
This announcement however is twofold.
In-conjunction with our new website, as part of our efforts to support the Voluntary and Community Sector in a full range of needs, Hull CVS are also proud to launch our new Digital Solutions service; where organisations can access professional web-design and hosting support through our in-house developer, at an accessible rate for the sector.”
