This hybrid session will provide an overview of the role of the DBS, eligibility for DBS
checks, as well as an organisations duties and responsibilities in regard to
making barring referrals. The session will last around 45 minutes with time for
questions. This session is aimed at those who are involved in the recruitment
of staff or volunteers, and those who have safeguarding responsibilities,
management of individuals in regulated activity, or who would be involved in
making barring referrals to DBS.
