The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 become law on 3rd April 2025. The landmark legislation known as Martyn’s Law requires ‘public premises where 200 or more individuals may be present, to be better prepared and have plans in place to keep people safe in the event of an attack.’

This introductory session will help you to navigate the requirements of the new legislation and what you need to do if you are a group or organisation with events open to the public where 200 or more individuals may be present. The session will:

Identify groups and organisations affected by the legislation
Discuss the tiered approach adopted by the Act
Consider actions that are needed to comply with the legislation
