The Heritage at Risk Capital Fund is a special one-year £15 million fund focusing on the most deprived areas to rescue at risk historic sites and buildings. This funding will support projects which seek to repair and enhance a variety of heritage buildings to benefit the local public and community, like shops, pubs, parks, and town halls.
This strategy will set the guiding principles for Adult Social Care in Hull, to effectively meet the needs of Hull’s people now and in the future. It will set out our vision for how we plan to make changes, working with people in Hull and all our key partners. For us to do this, we want to hear about your experiences and what your ambitions and vision is for your future Adult Social Care.
Following five successful rounds which has provided £1.75 million to help improve the safety of local communities and public spaces, a further £1.6 million has been made available to support local projects that will cut crime and antisocial behaviour and improve feelings of safety.
Hull City Council has received funding from the Ministry of Communities, Housing and Local Government (MHCLG) in response to the violent disorder that took place across late summer 2024. In Hull, a proportion of this money has been allocated for the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, and schools, to provide projects and activities that will help to improve community cohesion.

Emmaus is appealing for new volunteers to get involved either as charity trustees, within their Hull charity shops or in support of the East Riding outreach service. All Emmaus Hull & East Riding volunteers contribute to the charity’s mission of working together to overcome homelessness and social exclusion.
